I just wanted to post this because one of the best and worst movies I’ve seen, but seems to be a little more realistic in today’s world. “I AM LEGEND”.
I Am Legend
If you’ve not seen the movie, you should. Now I’m not talking about the undead dudes running around who can be knocked out with a rifle butt and yet have super human strength to leap high into the air like a four legged female Scandinavian pole jumper (name the movie), but the reality of it is, regardless of what you might believe and what is happening in the world here and abroad, there is the possibility of a pandemic.
It JUUUST so happens I watched some of “I AM LEGEND” and it kind of hit home. It hit home because I now have a wife and kid to look after and I am justly afraid of my daughter catching something from someone who doesn’t know how to cover their mouths when they sneeze and decide to touch a shopping cart.
Here is a link of the known swine flu virus crossing the globe and yet we have not yet closed our borders or even prevented internationals from coming to the states. It’s a little difficult to tell what the logic is behind this because it is known that this strain has evolved. If it ends up getting weaker through our immune systems, great. But it can also grow stronger where it can place more human beings at greater risk of fatality. It’s a bit scary to say the least. So the bottom line is, wash your hands and cover your mouths when you cough. But most of all, I would suggest praying.
