Quick Update

Well, I haven't switched hosts. Don't know if I'm going to or not at this point because of the amount of work involved and I'm pressed for time. My Niece passed away 2 weeks ago tomorrow and it has been a heck of a time and just very sad. SIDS situation at 7 weeks. Very very heart breaking to say the least and I can't even imagine. Now that I have a daughter of my own, I would be broken.....

Anyway, things are moving along but not at a pace I'm fond of. Life, work just get in the way at times and this is one of those times. Work has been very challenging and its been difficult to juxtapose all these "Things".

I will have a demo out soon for our products. Just keep your eyes and ears open.

I'll touch base again very soon.
The late announcement... (s)

Ok.. 3 things.

one - the announcement that was to take place a couple of Fridays ago, didn't happen and I'm terribly sorry. I lost access to the website and was not able to post or do anything.

two - a new announcement - We'll be changing Hosts I believe. This means one of two things. Either we'll have to figure out a way to transfer all content to another host and another website without losing all the data and members, or we'll have to rebuild from scratch. I'm working these things out now.

three - The announcement from 2 weeks ago is about a new product. I'll be intruducing this and making it available to EVERYONE in the next couple of weeks. I can't say much about it but it involves a true coded product that will enhance your computing experience, all while providing TOP CLASS entertainment value.

Lastly, I need Beta Testers. That's right. You'll get a FULL COPY of the application to test, however i Know it works ;) Curious? Good. For those interested in a copy of the product(s) (catch that?) please send me an email (jfalcione at reliantfilms dot net) and I'll prepare copies for distribution with a license key.

We'll be asking for 5 people to beta since I've already had multiple folks working on it and testing. First 5, that's it. The rest will be able to get the "Shareware" to license version.

(CLICK READ MORE)
Wow, no update since March. WEAK

Hi Folks..

First of all, very sorry for not being more diligent in updating the site, things have been hectic to say the least. On that note, we've hit some time snags with Despondent and just haven't been able to meet to get the things we need to get done, done... Its hard too because we so want to put more time into the movie but just have not had the opportunity to do so.

I just finished a commercial for Ultimate Camo and it will be playing on The Sportsman Channel Network which consists of about 69 million viewers. So for the next 3 months, 3 times a day for 30 seconds a piece, you can see the commercial I made for them. Pretty cool to say the least.

I'm posting a download link in the downloads section for those interested.

As soon as we have more news beyond life news etc, I'll be sure to post. I believe we'll have an announcement to make here very very soon.

-Joe
ActionDrama Film Shooting - Independent Style

Ok, so these last two weekends have been the MOST productive for the movie than we've been able to accomplish in the past. Thanks to scheduling, more pre-production and of course Mike Hartnett.

Mike is a friend of a friend type thing and Israel asked him to accompany us on this past weekends shoot due to the dynamic nature of the scenes. When Mike arrived, he was looking at my camera setup and made some adjustments that truly helped us to capture exactly what we were looking for. EXACTLY. It was an amazing day of shooting. Here are the details:

Last week, Israel and I went out to Scott's place with a 250 ft., 850lbs test mumophilament Zipline. We had a pully and all my climbing gear. So for 8 hours, we setup a run through trees and the like to create a zipline that I would fly down at roughly 20 miles at hour at spots with no way to stop. GREAT FUN!

Mike was there to stop me from burning in which was GREAT. Thanks Mike for everything!!

So then this Saturday, we used the line for the first time. I did the Slide for Life in the Army over rocks and mostly water at a quarter of a mile at over 40mph at some points.. Water to land in, Great fun. This was a bit different in that it wasn't as high but I'm a bit older now, not as fearless. Plus we had no alchohol so no liquid bravery to help. That combination is always a bad thing.

Read MORE Link Below:
DESPONDENT TRAILER #II

Despondent Trailer #2

The 2nd Trailer for Despondent is completed. It looks pretty good I think and am pretty proud of how the whole movie is starting to take shape for the first time.

We do however need to tidy up some things and clean house with a few things. As I mentioned earlier, we'll be putting together some additional shots to make them even better. Better and cleaner angles and we're adding one entire shot with just dialogue, well scenery as well. But the point is, while in midstream we're making some course corrections to make the story "That Much Better", as stated earlier. So well worth it.

Lastly, its time we start preparing for the score, sound and sound fx. I am taking real care to make sure that sound is just as important as the visuals themselves. Many of the VFX Shots we've done look really good and I'm proud at how well the actors worked things out to make the movie as believable as possible.. you know, given that none of us are actors and know what we're doing.

On that note, tomorrow check back or late this evening for the Despondent Trailer #2. I assure you, you will enjoy it.

We may put together one more trailer but that's highly doubtful.. if it is put together, it will be a very abstract version of both one and 2 at 30 secs for local TV spots. We'll just have to see.

Seacrest, OUT.. J/k ..

-Deacon
Quick Update

I wanted to give a quick update as time permits.. and
right now time is permitting. Things have been very hectic with work and
home, to much detail to go into. Here's the latest.

Israel
and I have discovered some other filming methods that we are going to try, all
while freezing our nuts off. It will be worth it I assure you.
We've also decided to reshoot our restaurant scene. We've been cutting
footage and more footage, it's really coming together. However, if we can
reshoot a couple of things to make it THAT MUCH BETTER? We are going to
do just that.

I have access to another camera thanks to a very good friend, who is actually
in the movie who also lives 800 miles away, but we'll get into that
later.. Anyway, with a 2nd camera it makes things THAT MUCH BETTER (See
Above) So with that being said, we're going to reshoot a couple of
"Items"..

The look, the feel and the tone of the film are really starting to take
shape. Also, we have solid grounding on the music we'll be scoring for
the film. Israel
and I have been pretty decisive on this topic and are in agreement that the
music will be setting the tone. Now that we have a pretty good
understanding, we'll be meeting with Roger again soon to get things started
again. (READ MORE)

Baby, Hunting Video, Despondent Trailer, LIFE....

Just a quick update on a number of things..

First, I had a baby. No not me personally persay, but my wife squeezed out Savanna Madonna (Named after Madonna Aristoranes who past away from cancer in August) Falcione on December 13th, 0117 wieghing in at 7lbs., 12 oz. She's absolutely beautiful, so much so we don't know where the heck she gets it from. Not me, for sure....

So life has been busy. I was tasked out to do a promotional video for a friend of mine who has started a camouflage company called Ultimate Camo. www.ultimatecamo.com It is a great idea, great product and worth every cent. So I finished the promo and wow did it turn out great. I'm looking for the license for the music I used so until then, you can't see it.

I've also finished Trailer #2 for Despondent. It came out REALLY NICE. Lots of compositing work and again, waiting on the pricing for the music so I can legally license this music. Its a great score and worth every penny.

With all these things going on, just trying to keep my head above water but keep an eye out in the next few days for the 2nd trailer to be released. Worth every minute of your download I promise, oh yea, its about 10x better than Trailer 1. Just so you know :)

Hope everyone had a Great Christmas and going into the New Year, may yours be blessed.

Cheers!

The Deacon
Stephen King's, "The Mist"

Ok.. So I went to see a movie with some friends of mine the other night, and I was so moved by what the director did, I had to write my own little review.

I'm going to tell you that I enjoyed the movie very much until the end. The end,.. The end was so far out of place and unrealistic that people walked out of the theatre. It was the kind of movie that leads to all kinds of, "This is really cool..." to "What the hell were they thinking??"

Because I do not recommend this movie, I'm going to tell you straight out how they ended it because it was absolute WEAKSAUCE. If you still plan on watching the movie, which ends NOTHING like the book to the point where you will just... Anyway, if you still plan to see it, don't read on. If you want to trust me in this, hit read more and I'll just lay it out for you.

To Read more, click READ MORE BELOW:
